I launched my app on Nick Launches and got great results. Several sign ups and supporters. I even managed to climb the charts and it has a good sticky effect that gives exposure to my app for longer than most platforms. Love the unique design and Nick did a great job with the UI/UX. I think it's a really good idea, and I'm (was) already registered; I wanted to submit my project but was then stopped by something truly ridiculous. There are so many alternatives that offer exactly the same thing for free. So am I seriously supposed to include an external link in my project, or pay a significant amount of money without knowing in advance whether it’s even worth it? To me, this seems more than ill-conceived, and anyone who doesn’t want to throw their money away will surely steer clear of this. Without being able to test it out first and see what it’s all about, people will drop out here. Even while you’re still signing up, you’re already bombarded with three emails, which is also very unpleasant, especially since you haven’t given any consent to receive email newsletters. Within the EU, this must be explicitly confirmed by checking a box in accordance with the applicable GDPR. Simply agreeing to the Terms and Conditions (T&C) or Terms of Service (TOS) is not sufficient here.
