About Pray Shield

Pray Shield is a Christian iPhone app that adds a 15-second Scripture and prayer pause before selected distracting apps using Apple Screen Time.

Screen Time management is free. A Plus subscription provides Bible reading, prayer tools, reflections and Eden, a lamb companion for a regular prayer habit. The app uses curated Scripture and templates, not generative AI. See the App Store for current subscription and trial terms.

Developed by independent iPhone app developer Damian Witkowski.

Simple idea, done with care. Fifteen seconds of Scripture before a distracting app opens, no shame mechanics, and the pause itself is free with Plus only for the offline Bible and the prayer library. Eight languages on the site already is a nice touch. What if the homepage had a tiny interactive demo of the pause, verse and all, so I feel the thing before I download it?
