About IndieTool
IndieTool is a startup directory and launch platform for indie founders, indie hackers, and solo makers. The /apps directory lists more than 1,500 verified startups, filterable by category (AI, SEO, Marketing, Productivity, Design and more) and by domain rating.
It also offers a suite of free founder tools: name generators, a link scanner, a meta title and description generator, a headline generator, a logo maker, a Twitter card validator and pricing analysis. Founders can launch with a one-time Standard listing that includes a permanent dofollow backlink, with no reciprocal badge required. There is also a blog on SEO and launching, and a REST API for submissions.

The free tools shelf is what got me. Name generator, meta tag writer, Twitter card checker, pricing analysis, all sitting next to a directory of 1,500 plus startups, so there's a reason to come back after launch day. Filtering the directory by domain rating is a nice touch for anyone shopping for backlinks. One thought, the launch pitch and the tools feel like two separate sites right now. What if each tool ended with a one line nudge to list the thing you just named?
ShuttlewrightMember · yesterdayAs a founder deciding where to list, the pitch is clear: permanent do-follow listing, instant publish, transparent one-time pricing, and a genuine free tier. The pricing dialog is one of the clearest I have seen on a launch directory, and "badge-free" being spelled out per tier is honest. Three things held me back. The sponsor blocks repeat four times down the landing page and crowd out your own value proposition; one sponsor row would keep it feeling like a directory rather than an ad network. The free tier's badge requirement only appears inside the pricing dialog - put it in the hero so nobody is surprised at the last step. And the "3x ROI in 9 days" testimonial would land much harder with specifics: what does Hexpay sell, and how many clicks or signups actually came from the listing? Last suggestion: show your own numbers on the landing page (DR, monthly visits, indexed pages). Buyers of a backlink care about exactly that, and you clearly have the data. Solid bones - the concept and pricing clarity are ahead of most Product Hunt alternatives I have tried.
